in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood of Portland, OR.
The Everything Under the Sun Parade is an annual community celebration that celebrates radical joy. We believe that ordinary people can make extraordinary things, and that making art together helps us build stronger, more connected communities.
It is a people-powered parade that anyone can join!
There are three ways to participate:
Make your own parade art
Costumes, puppets, and masks! Big or small, humble or elaborate, it’s all welcome!
Join the Pots and Pans Band
Our very own drum corps that anyone can be a part of. Use one of our bucket drums, bring your own drum, or literally bring a pot and a wooden spoon. We'll have one rehearsal the week before the parade.
Volunteer!
We're looking for people who can carry puppets, help with set-up and/or clean-up, or act as parade marshals (helping the parade process along the route).
