Hygiene4All works to ensure our houseless neighbors have an equal voice in creating more equitable access to the basic public resources required for human dignity, including water, sewer, and waste management services.

Everything Under the Sun is not just one parade day—it includes months of envisioning, building, connecting, and practicing the future we want to live in. Through a series of puppet-building workshops, the Everything Under the Sun parade team brings together community partners and Reed College student volunteers to offer guidance in creating large-scale puppets. These workshops are part of the Everything Under the Sun Parade’s goals to make creative culture accessible to all and an essential part of a thriving community.

Past community partners have shared that this is a powerful way to build community within their organization and help them feel less alone in their work. Our goal is to offer a source of nourishment that feeds the hard work of movement building. The puppets and parade art created through this partnership can also have future use to amplify a group’s campaign and their work in the community, uplifting an organization’s vision through an artistic approach.
